Keeping my Fingers

Every Woodworkers nightmare is the possibility of loosing a finger or incurring a major injury from using a table saw. Well, in August 2014 I had a mishap that took part of my thumb.  For years I have been reading about the Saw Stop professional saws that have a unique brake design that detects hand and finger contact with the saw blade within milliseconds, instantly stopping and retracting the blade thereby avoiding injury.

Today I picked up my new Saw Stop Jobsite saw. It goes without saying I have no desire to test it to make sure it works.

  1. You should keep track of how many fingers you save... and how many blades and brakes you need to buy! I'm glad you have a great table saw and hope you enjoy many productive hours of woodworking.

  2. So far I have saved 2 fingers, it only cost me two breaks and 1 saw blade
